“How’d it go last night?” Greyson burst into Ronan’s office.

“It went well,” he commented but didn’t go into any details.

“Did Gerri work her magic?” Greyson sat in the chair across from Ronan’s desk, and propped his feet up on the desk.

“You know I don’t believe in love at first sight,” he insisted as he pushed Greyson’s feet off his desk. “She’s interesting to say the least. I believe she will keep me on my toes.”

“That’s saying something. Did you fuck her yet?”

“Don’t talk about her like that,” Ronan warned.

“I didn’t say anything bad.” Greyson held his hands up in surrender. “I was only asking because she’s human. She’s liable to look at you and laugh or run the other way. It’s no secret we’re well endowed. Some humans can’t take us without breaking. Remember Elizabeth?”

“Of course, I remember Elizabeth.” Ronan glared at Greyson. “You can’t forget when someone offers to buy you a cow rather than have sex with you. Which is why I stopped dating humans.”

“But you’re dating one now. So, what makes this one special?” Greyson asked.

“Everything,” Ronan admitted and left it at that. Braelynn was extraordinary in every way.

“You think she can keep your interest for more than two days?”

“My interest is definitely peeked,” he admitted. There were still many things he wanted to do with her, and to her. He’d like to bend her over his desk and pound her from behind while he grabbed her ass. He’ll get her up there one day.

“Just keep that interest up until after your birthday,” Greyson warned. “How much did you tell her?”

“Nothing,” Ronan said. “I don’t want her pity. If I tell her I will lose my wings unless I find a bride, so to speak, then she’ll stay out of pity.” He shook his head. “Best leave things be.”

“Okay, but what about everything else?”

“She knows enough.” He demonstrated with her clothing last night. A remarkable gift he must admit. What he didn’t tell her was that he could feel her emotions no matter how close or how far she was from him. That’s how he knew she was ready for him last night. Her arousal could be felt like a tidal wave. Never had he felt such powerful feelings. Even now he could feel a peacefulness as she slept. Suddenly, he felt an alertness. Either her alarm went off or her phone rang.

“You’re not listening.” Greyson snapped his fingers.

“What were you saying?” Ronan brought his attention back in check.

“Don’t forget the Dragos boys are coming in from Nova Aurora today,” Greyson reminded him.

“That’s not until eleven.” Ronan checked his desktop calendar.

“You’re a little spaced. You need reminding.” Greyson got up from his chair.

A wave of desire crept up on him. Was Braelynn thinking about him? Looking at his watch, he smiled. It was only 7:30.

“I’ll be going out for a bit.” Standing up he grabbed his coat from the back of his chair.

“What about the Dragos brothers?”

“I’ll be back in plenty of time,” Ronan said as he followed Greyson out of the office.
